1978 TV show that featured Joe Namath who retired from NFL in 1977

Show final ranking was #101 out of 114 shows for 1978-79 season

The two shows it competed with on Friday Night at 8pm was Donny and Marie on ABC and Wonder Woman on CBS. All 3 shows were cancelled

TV critics predicted that the show would be cancelled before Thanksgiving but it was cancelled before Halloween

It was called a poor copy of Welcome Back Kotter

Conrad Bain, star from Different Strokes appeared in episode 2 and 3 before starting Different Strokes 2 months later.

You left out the most important part. It starred Joe Namath!

Oh and also the kid who was the kid in The Cop and the Kid was in it. He was not a good show picker.
