In the 70's, as a child I named a stray I found Harper . I really liked the show back then. It came on at night.

In a later episode the "actor" dog evidently died. Most shows would just replace the dog, like Tramp was replaced near the end of My Three Sons (you could tell it was a different dog.)

But I think the title of the BF episode is Jasper II, where I think they found a second stray.

Thats seems to be something common with comedies back then ,they all had a large dog.
