Question 1990-1991 Sitcom?

I've recently been thinking about this old sitcom from somewhere around 1990-1991 era, give or take a year, about a group of 4-5 20-something friends that go to this beach house during the weekends and hang out. It was on a major network, and I seem to remember someone that looked like Matt LeBlanc (but it wasn't him). It wasn't on very long, but I think a few episodes were pretty good.

PS, it's not Going Places.

Help would be appreciated.

I can't think of any sitcoms like that, but there was a one-hour drama called 2000 Malibu Road that ran for six episodes in 1992. It was about four 20-ish women who lived in a beach house. There were guys in it as well, including Brian Bloom who is sort of a Matt LeBlanc type.

Well, I looked up the show info and that wasn't it. The show I'm thinking of was a sitcom (to my recollection) and ran only 30 minute shows.

Thanks though.

was it Going Places with Alan Ruck, Heather Locklear and Hallie Todd? It was on ABC's TGIF but only lasted 1 season

You're probably thinking of "Down The Shore," a 1992-1993 comdey which aired on FOX.

Yeah, it was "Down the Shore" (Fox), I remember that Louis Mandylor was one of the stars.

'JERSEY SHORE' HAS PLOT OF OLD FOX SITCOM

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQuk-WjNbtE

Quote:

THE BALTIMORE SUN

ATV show about a group in their 20s who rent a summer share on the Jersey Shore. Hilarity, hookups and high jinks ensue.

Been there, seen that.

A decade and a half before MTV's controversial "Jersey Shore," there was "Down the Shore," a Fox sitcom that was a lot less controversial. A lot less funny, too.

The comedy about three guys (lifelong pals) and three women (co-workers at a Manhattan ad agency) in their 20s sharing a house in the fictional town of Belmar Bay debuted in June 1992 and lasted for parts of two seasons.

The housemates included the one requisite Italian-American: a womanizing garment center worker named Aldo Carbone, played by Australian actor Louis Mandylor. As far as we know, no Italian-American anti-defamation groups raised an objection to Aldo's antics.

Aldo fancied himself as a stud even if in one episode a routine AIDS test made him fear that his fast and loose activities might have come back to haunt him.

We're sure that "Jersey Shore's" Mike "The Situation" is hoping he'll never have to face a situation like that.
