As far as I am concerned, Myra won because she made it as clear as glass that no change was necessary in order for her to love Steve. In order for Laura to finally get interested, one thing that Steve had to do was get rid of his suspenders and start wearing belts. For Myra to love him, he didn't have to change a thing.
