There is a fellow competitor and the family feels she has an ugly dress on. I saw nothing wrong with the dress. I wonder why they would feel it appropriate to hate the dress so much that they let the girl wear kitten's dress?

Good observation. I never thought about it, but that dress looked OK to me too.

Kitten had her good luck penny in its pocket so when she gave the dress to the other girl she lost the penny and couldn't go on because she was convinced it really did work.

She did not put much thought into things at times, even considering her young age. I think at her age if I'd collected shoes to be polished, I would've noted who the owners were...!

Of course, the mistakes of the youngest make for the episode plots.

A real parent would probably know she wasn't the brightest bulb in the lamp, so they would have told her, Be sure to tag each set of shoes with the owner's name.

Yes, but these parents were busy with a son that crashed into walls and would trip and fall on a regular basis. There wasn't much time to worry about Kitten.

He was plenty to worry about.
