I thought I would compile a list here of the sitcoms that have the most longevity on ABC, starting with them as Ozzie and Harriet is by far the longest lasting continuous (consecutive seasons, not taking a ton of years off like It's Always Sunny) live action sitcom on any network. I might do CBS and NBC as time allows later, someone else can take FOX. 7 season minimum to qualify here, this thread is not about quality or lack of, purely longevity. Rank will go first by number of seasons, then in a tie of same seasons tiebreaker will go by episode count. For dual network sitcoms, the rank for shows like Family Matters will be solely what aired on ABC, but the overall number will be included after. So shows like Sabrina, the Teenage Witch which has 7 seasons overall but only 4 on ABC won't qualify here, or Last Man Standing which has a 6/3 split. Even My Three Sons won't qualify on the ABC side despite its 12 overall seasons with its 5/7 split. Shows like Roseanne only the 9 continuous seasons will count and not season 10 which aired over 2 decades later. I will probably miss some long lived ABC sitcoms at first, can edit them in if someone mentions it. Current shows that will have totals change will be listed with a star (only The Goldbergs at this point). Episode totals I am getting from epguides.com.
1. The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet- 14 seasons and an impressive 435 episodes 2. Happy Days- 11 seasons and 255 episodes 3. Modern Family- 11 seasons and 251 episodes 4. The Goldbergs *- 10 seasons including upcoming one, 207 episodes at the end of season 9 5. The Drew Carey Show- 9 seasons and 233 episodes 6. Roseanne (1988)- 9 seasons and 222 episodes 7. The Middle- 9 seasons and 215 episodes 8. Coach- 9 seasons and 200 episodes 9. The Donna Reed Show- 8 seasons and 275 episodes 10. Bewitched- 8 seasons and 254 episodes 11. Home Improvement- 8 seasons and 204 episodes 12. Who's the Boss?- 8 seasons and 196 episodes 13. Family Matters- 8 seasons and 193 episodes on ABC, 9/215 total 14. Full House- 8 seasons and 192 episodes 15. According to Jim- 8 seasons and 181 episodes 16. Laverne and Shirley- 8 seasons and 178 episodes 17. Black-ish- 8 seasons and 173 episodes 18. Three's Company- 8 seasons and 172 episodes 19. Barney Miller- 8 seasons and 170 episodes 20. Growing Pains- 7 seasons and 166 episodes T21. Benson- 7 seasons and 158 episodes T21. Boy Meets World- 7 seasons and 158 episodes |

There were likely quite a few 6-year series. Spin City went 145 episodes and 6 seasons; The Wonder Years at 115 eps. Thanks for the list.

I might add 6 season shows later after CBS is done. That will be a massive undertaking with all the long running sitcoms they have had.
