In my last post, I mentioned having been out of commission in terms of being able to post comments on the videos uploaded onto You Tube. However, last night, I realized that I was once again able to. I have already posted several comments on various videos including episodes of "Gimme a Break!". The first "Gimme a Break!" episode that I posted on was "The Emergency". Someone had recently posted a message saying that Mr. Bean would have approved of what Nell did at and then wrote the number of minutes into the video that she did the act that the poster was writing about. The thing that the poster was referring to was hanging the purse of of the lady hogging the pay phone on the gurney pole so she would go running after it and Nell could use the phone. This is where we come to the classic line "your purse, your purse!" I understood the whole thing except I had (and still have) no idea who Mr. Bean is. I posted a reply asking the first poster who Mr. Bean is. So far, I do not have an answer. If anyone reading this has any idea who Mr. Bean is and what he has to do with this episode, I would be very interested in hearing from you.

I don’t know what it has to do with the episode, but Mr. Bean is a character created by Rowan Atkinson (movies, TV, stuff like that there).
A Wikipedia description of the character, if that helps….. Mr Bean often seems unaware of basic aspects of the way the world works, and the programme usually features his attempts at what would normally be considered simple activities, such as going swimming, using a television set, interior decorating or going to church. The humour largely comes from his original (and often absurd) solutions to problems and his total disregard for others when solving them, and his pettiness and occasional malevolence. |

Thank you for the information. It is all very interesting. Since I have been back in business as far as You Tube goes, I have not generated any replies that I can find. But I plan on continuing to try.
