Oh No I was VERY depressed last week!

Last Wednesday, the ****ing bus driver missed my stop...again! What the **** am I, a ****ing mirage? I tried to get a car, but I don't have the money and...I blamed God because He's just ignoring me...I had the "God Hates Me" blues. I almost felt the songs that Elton John made into a song as well as the theme from M*A*S*H.

I felt God forsaken me...why does He do this to me?

Well Cleveland what I'm going to say probably isn't going to change things for you NOW, but maybe will get you to change your thinking. When I was growing up and being educated on a GOD, I was told that GOD is all good, all loving, all knowing, all this and all that and NEVER a bad GOD. OK????? So that was being imprinted in my brain for years and it wasn't until I was mid 30's and going thru a Major Life Change, did I question all that I was being taught......HA The Lightbulbs began to go off...

So I started to do my next few decades of research on all this God stuff...and to finally feel freedom I was in my mid 60's, so a lot of years it took me. Many find their way earlier and some never do.

Some find strength in the Sun, Moon, the Universal Energy totally and many cling to a god and then again remember there are many gods in our world. That is how I understand it all.

I count on ME and believe our political leaders are supposed to be on our sides, but that has changed so much in the last couple yrs.,...So I'm what is left for me to "count on" and I don't beat myself up as I know I'm human, not perfect and make wrong choices but I strive for the best choices I can come up with.

Take what I've said and think deeply about your life and who/what you believe in.

Sorry you had a depressed week, but I read from so many on other groups who live in high depression.

There are many ways to get out of ruts and all this takes work on the person's part.

Mr Cleveland, you seem like a really good guy, so it's a shame seeing you disappointed as often as your posts seem to make you out to be.

I don't want to come across as "preachy", but in my life time I have known both uncommon success, as well as debilitating failure. And in retrospect....I believe that I was less happy during the times of success....the thoughts of "the rat race" with all it's untidy variables. I didn't see it at the time, because I was too busy being a good slave to the system...but looking back I can see that I was possessed with values created on Madison Avenue.

The secret to happiness is not wealth, it is contentment. Something you'll have to find on your own, as each person is different. But I believe a common thread is that we are all conditioned to place excess value on the wrong things...figuring out what those things are and abandoning them will get you on the road to contentment.

In my town, the bus system operates with two-hour long cycles...so the same bus, with the same driver will come by the same stop...every two hours.

Once when a bus blew me off at a crowded bus stop, I was so angered by the absurdity that I opted to wait two hours just so I could admonish the driver. We had quite a dialog...she was a real Karen of a woman, and repeatedly "cautioned" me to not miss my stop. I relished in showing her repeatedly that I had an "all-day" pass.

By the time I was done, she was as miserable as I had earlier been.....turned my frown, upside down

Mr C, as I see it more and more, what you went thru with the bus issue is just
another of the ups and downs of life. To say one is depressed from this, one has
to think thru it more.

Oh No

I now give up on having a woman, getting married, and having a family on my own!

I must admit it...I'm a chick-repellent!

Might as well be gay...if there's no woman for me...I might as well go this direction!

God won't let me have a family! Might as well say "the more you complain, the longer you wait"! Looks like I'll be on earth for 99 years!

Cheer up Mr Cleveland. There are a lot of things in life worse than loneliness. My first wife was one of them,

I’m not saying that would work for you, but it definitely would double your chances of success.

Mr. C - I'd like to know your age if you don't mind saying.

Most people don't like to be around people who are depressed and down so much......

There is so much help out there, books, seminars, groups, therapists, support groups where people share their issues with others and get some inputs......

So much, none of these in your city, Mr C????

Takes Self Work Mr C

Women prefer a man to be self confident. Nothing can destroy a man's confidence faster than repeatedly being told "no".

One of life's true paradoxes.

If one doesn't have the funds for carfare after missing the bus then how can one support a family?

Mr. Cleveland , sorry you are feeling so down. Maybe you should talk to a therapist ( If you have Medicare you can get counseling for free) ! Or look for a support group to join, other people who feel as you do , you could help each other out .Maybe even meet a girl there or at least some friends ! Also I remember you used to go to church. I strongly recommend that! I know I feel much better when I go to church and have religion in my life !

Anyway, prayers to you and hope you feel better!
