I somewhat remember you talking about this on the podcast at the time.

My garbage disposal hasn't worked in years. First one I ever had when I moved in here, it worked like a year and just hasn't since. I barely used it anyways just cause I'm not used to throwing food down the sink.

I don't remember what life without The Simpsons was like. I think you only lived three months in a Simpsonless world.
i watched the original appearances of the Simpsons when they first appeared on the Tracy Ullman show - wayyy different feel

I was actually a big fan of Life In Hell long before that too - FOX originally wanted Groening to make a sitcom based on that but he didn't want to give the the rights to those characters, and so we got the Simpsons.

Yeah, I saw some of those Tracy Ullman shorts later on and they were very different. Homer especially.

LOL I've dealt with Cisco phones many times, and I can almost guarantee what happened was is that someone hit the 9 key and didn't hang the phone up immediately.

Almost all Cisco phones are set up so that if you just hit the 9 button and pause or stop, it automatically calls 911. The police will come, and there is nothing you can do to stop it unless you call the police back and tell them it was an accident immediately. It's like a panic button.

I am all too familiar with that hold music.

I'd still have your landlord fix it. Landlords are cheap, you should have a working disposal even if you don't use it because if it isn't working properly it can cause plumbing issues.

I should. I just have extreme anxiety about that kind of thing cause I always fear I'll be blamed or something even though I know I probably wouldn't be.

I've never seen anyone more unconcerned with their property being destroyed than management at that motel, you would have thought we were asking for a key to their safe or something with how hard it was to get that plunger.

Honestly, if the maintenance guy wasn't personally getting toilet water flowing into his room, they probably wouldn't have even cared.

the standard response is - "i figured out what's wrong with your garbage disposal - you don't have one."

Look at it this way, if they were going to go that route, they'd just blame you for it when you moved out.

If anything, taking care of it now would probably show it WASN'T your fault.
