If they could obtain the episodes, Arnie would be a good show for the Antenna TV channel to air since they've previously shown other off the wall, forgotten sitcoms like My Mother The Car, Good Morning World, The Paul Lynde Show, and Lotsa Luck.

It's probably not going to happen but I would like for Arnie to get an official retail DVD release with both seasons and all 48 episodes complete and uncut.

I'd be curious to know what the current status is of the episodes, if they all still indeed exist in their original, complete and uncut form. Would also be curious to know who the current rights holder is of the series that could approve an official DVD release.

The set that I have contains 47 of the 48 episodes, one episode from season two is missing.

The episodes are the edited for syndication versions and are edited down to about 22 minutes per episode, it's better than nothing and glad that I have these but I would much prefer to have an official DVD release with all uncut episodes if that would be possible.

You're right about The Don Rickles Show sitcom from 1972, that's a rare one and seemingly lost.

There are a good number of rare/lost sitcoms from the 1970's, these are short lived shows that were cancelled after less than a full season on the air.

An interesting one is Paul Sand In Friends And Lovers, CBS gave it a lot of advance publicity and it was expected to be a ratings hit, it was given a great time slot, right after All In The Family on Saturday night. But the Paul Sand sitcom did not generate the ratings that CBS was looking for, and it was cancelled at mid season, replaced by The Jeffersons and that show went on to have successful ratings.
