Jim and Margaret's actions were so bizarre in this episode. Most of the time they are bending over and taking it in the shorts when it came to letting the kids walk all over them, but in this episode, they will not even let Bud speak.

They were not very pro kid in this one.

This is one of these episodes where you marvel at how everything in sitcoms happens at the opportune time. Just as Bud is about to be hung out to dry, his girlfriend calls and saves the day.

Yes, but to you your point--the parents should have know something was amiss when he stuck to his story. But for Bud's part, he should have been willing to come clean a little sooner.
