Scammer/Bad Trader: TH8181 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The user TH8181 e-mailed me under the address hhtaylorhh2000@gmail.com and name Taylor H claiming they had tapes I was interested in. They wanted money for them. After attempting to take the proper precautions to ensure they owned the tapes at all, the user simply e-mailed me back the F swear in all capitals with a bunch of exclamation marks. Beware them please.

I got contacted by the same person

They clearly just make new emails and names over and over. What I got was puzzletogether7@gmail.com from the name 1999 Fan

They've conveniently ignored me asking for pics of what they claim to have. If anyone's curious, their email simply said..

This forum has a real issue with this person clearly just preying on anyone who posts a thread in the trading post. Pathetic thinking they've been here for so long.

Best thing for anyone to do is insist on like a minute of video or something as proof people own anything. If they can make a DVD, they can take the time to make a clip to send as proof, we're not stuck in a VHS-only era anymore here.

Thank you for your reply. That is actually exactly how my interaction went down as well. I continuously asked for proof-- either a video or photos of the footage they claimed to have. They actually agreed at first to send some "after they got the footage transferred off betamax". A month later I reached back out and they said the copies were made. After asking for proof again, they cursed at me.

To be honest the message spooked me a little. I blocked them.

I wouldn't be too scared, it's just some immature man whose only power is to type bad words on the internet.

It’s 2022. Everybody should be working with 100% digital files. You shouldn’t have to order DVD sets. You should be able to download them from Mega.nz which means the seller should be able to send pictures of the file and a short clip of the episode playing.

Yeah, I already could tell by the way he writes this is the same guy who ripped me off two years back. I msgd him telling him who he is and that shut him up, seems scared to reply to me now lol

I can very easily figure out how to contact his parents if I wanted. Wonder if he's still feeling like scamming people now?
