Default So after talking about Betty Jean Fred decides to dance with a heavy diabetic woman?

Fred had the audacity to make fun of his friend’s daughter’s weight but then he’s gonna be with JABBA THE HUT’S cousin?

I’m sorry but Fred G. Sanford was a big time hypocrite.

Betty Jean wasn't that fat. She definitely had a weight problem but she was no super blimp like the lady that Fred was dancing with. Was she one of Fast Frannie's friends? I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the same lady as you.

Dunno, the woman I’m talking about was a fat, light skinned woman who sent Fred flying into the pans in the kitchen

OK, yes, she was a super blimp compared to Betty Jean. Fred was definitely a hypocrite. I also didn't like the way he always picked on Julio for being Puerto Rican.

Fred had a right to pick on Julio. The brotha was concerned that he’d make the water “go bad.”

Remember after Julio moved and Fred was turning the place into Sanford Arms? He said he needed to scrub all the chili stains off the wall!

How did that make Fred a "hypocrite"? You have to put everything into the CONTEXT of the episode. Though it was comedic it's a sad fact that people will almost always mention a so-called "overweight" person's weight. IMHO Betty Jean was BIG but not "sloppy", if that makes sense. Fred only made jokes about her until he found out about her $10,000 INHERITANCE. He wanted Lamont to marry her so that he could get his hands on her dough. That was the context of the episode NOT her WEIGHT. It was (at least to me) EXTREMELY clear that's what the episode was about not her weight. As for the big lady he was dancing with (the episode when he took Lamont and Rollo's dates for himself, lol) that also DOES NOT make him a HYPOCRITE. The simple reason being at no time, in any episode did Fred say he hated, despised, or had an aversion to BBWs. On the Pops And Pals episode, he was seen with Cardella Di Milo and she wasn't exactly skinny, lol! I like BBWs myself, lol!

BBWs might be an understatement

That episode with the big lady is one of the biggest mysteries of the show and made no sense. He made fun of esther and called her ugly and joked about betty jean but he has a tall and fat ugly women come over for company

weird lol
