In 1989 CBS debuted a daytime version of Wheel Of Fortune that was played the same way as the syndicated version and unlike the syndicated version Pat Sajak didn't host this version but rather an former NFL player. Another thing that was different to this version was a round called the Megaword and in the Megaword if the puzzle had a secret word in the puzzle the contestant had to solve the puzzle then had to use the secret word in a sentence the contestant won double the amount in cash. Although it was fun to watch CBS's daytime version of Wheel Of Fortune was cancelled after one season then reruns were brought back to replace the revival of Now You See It which also debuted in 1989 and also got cancelled in July of that year

Daytime Wheel began airing on CBS back in 1989 just 17 days after it left NBC for over a year and a half. That is a fact!

Hi, Bestie! Good trivia there! WOF did not work out on CBS, I guess. We all know that WOF started as a daytime show on NBC, but few know CBS tried a version of it. Thank you
