I will NOT be surprised that baseball may NOT be played this season!
If so...I will call this jinx...The Lockout! The year that The Cleveland Indians became The Cleveland Guardians...there was NO season! |

That's as good an excuse as any....
If they don't play at all this season, there is a good chance that I will never watch another game. |

It wouldn't bother me at all. I watch a lot of sports, but the past couple of years. With the money and lousy play from players and their injuries. It's just no fun. I do watch rodeo though, been a fan since I was a kid. They respect the flag, ride injured, don't go on strike, don't complain and don't make the money the crybabies make. Plus, before the rodeo they say a prayer. Long live cowboys and cowgirls!

The owners,AND the players are all greedy ******, who seem to be locked into contest to defy one another. And iMO, I think they fail to appreciate how lucky they are.
Like you, I pretty much lost interest in baseball during the 1990s. Being a Tigers fan, they recaptured my interest when Mike Ilitch decided to become a force to be reckoned with in the annual off season free agency sweepstakes. And, I thoroughly enjoyed watching my Tigers compile the best post season series record against the Yankees of any team to have faced them more than once. But, the Tigers really pizzed in my oatmeal when they conducted their salary dump, disguised as a "rebuild". They lost my trust in that regard. And this work stoppage is pretty much like driving a wedge into my already fractured feelings about the sport in general. They always say that the teams can pizz off the fans all they want, and the fans will still return as soon as they sniff a pennant. I don't believe I have that much time. |

1994 could have been the Montreal Expos year to win the World Series. They were loaded with Larry Walker, Moisés Alou, Marquis Grissom, Pedro Martinez and John Wetteland. They might still be in Montreal without the strike.
I would miss it if they were locked out the entire season. I hope they can get in at least 3/4 or half a season. I need to play my daily fantasy sports. I don't want to have to play KBO League this season. |
