Default Emily Dickinson photo.

Photo of Molly, Julie Pie, and Felice. Since Julie Pie is laughing and Sue Ann was suppose to be angry during this scene, this must have been taken during filming break. Molly looks mad, but she may have been in a pissy mood when this episode was filmed.

I love this photo. Molly looks studious, Julie Pie looks amused, and Felice has no lines, so her mouth is closed!

To me it looks like Molly is staying in character, sticking to her craft and focusing on being angry at "Blair."

Julie is relaxed and happy-go-lucky, having just made a joke to Felice before cameras roll again, who is trying not to laugh because she's trying to stay focused (on not speaking, lol).

That's how it looks to me.

Also, I thought this thread was going to unveil the countenance of Ms. Dickinson herself.

Guess I never noticed the floor is some sort of parquet tiling. I say 'parquet' because it looks to me like there are wood grains in some of the pieces. What do you guys think?

Also: notice how extremely dusty the bottom of the study table is! They cleaned one side, and the middle, but they forgot to dust part of the base of that table. Mrs. Garrett, as a former housekeeper, would be mortified if she saw that.

Molly is wearing jeans where the cuffs have been rolled up. Very "Early 1980s"! "You'll grow into them!" Guess she would need to unroll them fairly soon, given her growth spurt over the summer!

Here's also a color version of the shot, but from a different angle: a camera actually taping the show. (And, of course, without Julie Pie smiling, as the girls are supposed to be ticked off at Blair).

Molly had quite the growth spurt between Seasons 1A and 1B. She went from being the 2nd shortest girl to being the 2nd tallest one in a matter of months. She was even taller than Mrs. Garrett/Charlotte in Season 1B.

Probably! Now I'll be curious to see the floor in a still shot.

Hahaha! Pictorial dissection! We are definitely a niche audience.

Or did they? What if it was in storage on the lot and it just so happened the "clean" part was covered up while the dusty part was not? Just another theory! But that is funny that whatever the story, no one rectified it! lol

And she kept going. Between season 1 and season 2 she was still growing and maturing a lot.

Maybe we'll find a good one. Getty seems to always be adding to their image collection.

You raise a good point: maybe that part of the table was partially covered. Because why clean the rest of the table, but forget to clean part of it?

If Molly had stayed, by Season 3, she would have been as tall as Felice, if not taller.

Taller--2 inches taller. Felice stopped at 5'6" while our Molly would go on to 5'8".

Who knew someone would surpass our season 1 phone-loving giraffe?

For Season 3, Molly would have been around 5'5" or 5'6". In this photo from the Tempest, which was filmed in fall of 1981 (the 3rd season of the FOL), Molly is almost as tall as Gina Rowlands (who plays her mother) who is 5'6". With Molly doing at least one movie during every year that the Facts of Life was on, we got to see her grow up, despite not being on the show anymore.

Molly remains in touch with both Gina Rowlands as well as Susan Sarandon, who I think are the only two surviving adult members of the cast.
