Default TV sitcoms that were based in same city, aired on same Network back to back and never

had a crossover episode

In the 1974-75 season

CBS aired All in the Family at 8pm and the Jeffersons at 8:30pm on Saturday Night and the shows never had a crossover episode even though they were based in the same city

NBC aired Sanford and Son at 8pm and Chico and the Man at 8:30pm on Friday nights and the shows never crossed over even though was based in LA

In the 1975-76 season, ABC aired Welcome Back Kotter at 8pm and Barney Miller on Thursday Nights and no crossover episode and both shows was based in NYC.

Does anyone know of other two sitcoms aired on same network back to back in the same city and never crossed over?

ABC at least acknowledged the Barney/Kotter connection in publicity photos, but, no, never acted upon it.

The 'Bob Newhart Show' (1972-1977) took place in Chicago but with the protagonist operating out of a swanky downtown office building and living in a cool Lakeshore Drive apartment.

Also on CBS, 'Good Times (1974-1979) also took place in Chicago but in the decidedly more challenging Cabrini Projects only a few blocks away from Lakeshore Drive.

Though Bob&Emily Hartley, their friends, neighbors and his patients never seemed to cross paths the 'GT's Evanses, Ron Glass DID appear on both shows- playing a rather hippy-esque Elevator Repairman on TBNS (1973) as well as a crooked but more conservatively attired blind encyclopedia salesman on GT in 1974.

Just remembered, when you were watching Chico and the Man, didn’t you say Sanford and Son was mentioned in an episode? That’d be another minor connection.

It was a stupid reference too because it was a junkyard not a garage so the mentioned didnt make sense lol

Chico was inside the garage and screamed at Ed about the tires in their garage and said................."This is the last time we buy tires from Sanford and Son"
