I would say "the very creepy episodes"

Who would have guessed the Mr. Carlson from WRKP and the MagTag repair man was so creepy.

I don't think he's fond of the bicycle man role

I don't know how Gordon Jump felt about that particular role, but he died in 2003.

I don't know why Gordan Jump would do that role.

Regarding the Strokes VSE two partners, I think of the Sam's Missing episode as a perfect way to write him out given he singlehandedly destroyed the series lol. Would've been like Facts bringing the VSEs back in season 9 and having an episode where Pippa gets sent back to Australia and the audience is supposed to root for her lol

Maybe he thought it was a good gig, or "another job" to get.

If I had watched "The Lady Who Came to Dinner"'s original airing, I would completely avoid this episode in syndication, DVD, and streaming because of Natalie's absence. It's TFoL's version of that "Bored, She Hanged Herself" episode of the original Hawaii Five-O.

It's not a personal favorite but even without Nat and Mrs. G it at least feels like a FOL episode which is more tthan I can say about a lot of season 9. It is explained that Natalie is traveling a lot in season 7 so I'm surprised she wasn't absent more than she was

I'm not a Sam fan, too . Unfortunately, Diff'rent Strokes had clearly run its course by the time of its two final seasons, the show's ratings were a disaster, the series wouldn't have continued anyway, with or without Sam and Maggie. Facts could have aired for another season, ratings were still good and we probably would have seen Charlotte Rae for a guest appearence, who knows

DS suffered because it relied so much on Gary's cuteness and precociousness. That worked at age ten but not so much at 16. Sam was added in large part because Gary was tired of sitting on Mr. D's lap like a little boy.

It didn't work, Gary was Gary and Sam and was.....Sam . It should have ended with the wedding episode, the only thing I like of those later seasons was Pearl the housekeeper

Good thing that I didn't see "The Bicycle Man" two parter until I was around 22 or 23. If it had showed up when I was watching Diff'rent Strokes regularly in syndication when I was 10 and 11 then I would've had nightmares for sure! Same thing goes for "The Hitchhiker's" and "Sam's Missing."

I was eight when TBM aired, and it freaked me out almost as bad as that episode of Little House on the Prairie where there was a mime stalker rapist.
