I know that the TV version of My Favorite Husband is different but do you consider the radio version of the show to be the beta version of I Love Lucy with different cast and the husband having a different job?

I think of I Love Lucy as a reworking of My Favorite Husband. They retained Oppenheimer, Pugh, and Carroll, and tried to keep Benaderet and Gordon (though the latter two weren't available).
I don't know the limits of what defines a beta version, but I think all of Lucy's shows* are related and I Love Lucy and My Favorite Husband are the most closely related. *Excluding Life with Lucy, which I don't know well. |
