Saw this trending on twitter. Wow, it's a tough-day for celebrity deaths, with Meat Loaf passing away as well...

It's hard to believe that this is the third Family Feud host death in the show's history "the other two host deaths are Richard Dawson and Ray Combs" But I could never figure out why Louie Anderson was even chosen to host Family Feud in the first place but when he was given the Family Feud job he turned into a game show superstar and gave Family Feud huge ratings and became the star of Family Feud video games and more but I think had Louie not quit and was replaced by Richard Karn Louie Anderson would've gotten more famous in the game show world. But outside of the game show world Louie Anderson was funny and had his cartoon series Life With Louie but had he gotten the chance to host another game show Louie Anderson would've been a Comeback Kid. I wonder if Steve Harvey will be one of the honored guests at his memorial service along with John O'Hurley and Richard Karn as well?

I'll always remember his closing line at the end of each Family Feud "Be good to your family." May he rest in peace.

Louie Anderson is the one Feud host I've never seen any of his era. But I really liked Richard Karn and John O'Hurley, they were awesome hosts who I miss. Their runs used to be popular on Game Show Network, but once lousy Steve Harvey took over they vanished. I never got Richard Dawson's appeal, he mumbles too much to be a good host. Ray Combs was just there, nothing special. Al Roker I liked some but was very short lived despite his popularity elsewhere.

Louie was fired according to the 2002 E! true Hollywood story Family Feud episode. Ratings were slipping and so they hired Richard Karn who eventually helped the ratings.

I never knew that, thank you for correcting me but I will say I am surprised Richard helped the ratings but I guess that is because he is the star of Home Improvement

I disagree, I thought Karn and O'Hurley were better hosts than Louie.
