Was Frank's Place a show that was "too ahead of its time"
In other words, it was a sitcom that was filmed like a movie with no laugh track. That right there was risky business in the 1980s. Plus, you never knew what you would get from episode to episode. One show could be broad comedy, while the next, deadly serious. Would it have likely thrived on premium cable a few years later?
