In nine seasons One Day At A Time had 22 multi-part episodes. Is that a lot? Feels like a lot.
By the way, the breakdown is 18 two parters, 2 three parters, and 2 four parters. |

Wow, that is a lot. Barney Miller had several multi-part episodes, but not nearly that many.

I checked some of Norman Lear’s other big shows, and they didn’t come that close
Jeffersons, 15 in 11 seasons All In The Family, 14 in 9 seasons Maude, only 6 in 6 seasons |

Not a Norman Lear show, but Family Ties had 20 multi part episodes in 7 years plus their vacation movie. My only request with the multi part episodes is that they were shown as one full length episode than split up. I don't care for the "previously on" segments the remaining parts have after the opening credits. Those "previously on" segments take minutes away from the episode's story.
