It seems that none of the retro channels on TV have a normal, 4X3 picture anymore. It's either that widescreen 16x9 garbage with the black bars at the top and bottom, or a shrunken down, square size picture with black bars on all four sides. Both are terrible and look awful, this is why I don't watch or record shows from the retro channels anymore. Thankfully, all the DVD's I have of favorite classic shows are in the proper, 4x3 full screen format.

A Roku player is all you need and you can get one for like $30. Certainly worth it.

Seasons 5-9 & 11 of Danny Thomas are correct 4x3 on IMDB-TV

Seasons 2-4 of Joey Bishop are correct 4x3 on Filmrise

I'll think it over and consider getting a Roku player, thanks much for the recommendation/suggestion.

I have no idea how to get it on Filmrise. I go to their webpage and I only get the homepage. I can't find any streams on it at all. I thought by now it would be on TUBI as well but they don't have it yet. However, it is on PLUTO TV and you can check it out there right now. They have Seasons 4-11 free on demand.

The Danny Thomas Show - PLUTO TV

On TV, I can watch it every day on CHCH TV at 2:00 pm. Right now, they're on Season 6 and I don't know how much farther they'll go.

I beg to differ; all these old shows were filmed in 4x3 and when I checked it out on DANNY THOMAS very recently, it is presented in 4x3 however when COZI-TV used to air it, they blew it up into a 16x9 which looked incredible to me with no distortion and the prints they ran were impeccable.

Just Google FILMRISE APP and there it is but since my post it turns out that AMAZON PRIME is running the show with no cuts! Thanks for the list of old show streamers, really appreciate the info!

Pluto TV and Sling TV have seasons 4-11 up (though one episode from season 4 is missing) uncut, in 4x3 and in HD! They all look great and are available for free.

I understand BUT DVD's, even Blu Rays are NOTHING compared to 4K streaming! Much better picture and details! Unfortunately, the only DVD-SETS of this show are season 5 and 6. The distributor stopped after the dismal returns of their 2008 release of season 6!
