Default Ryan O'Neal was in LITB?

With me it was Holy cow! It's Moze Pray from 'Paper Moon'.

It's funny how it wasn't all that obvious to me at first viewing. To me it was a matter of "he looks familiar....somehow" and then upon seeing the credits, I was like "Damn, it's Moze!".

I saw 'Love Story' but I saw 'Paper Moon' first, and since 'Paper Moon' was in B&W, it was easier for me to make the connection with his appearance on LITB.

Is this the one where Ward is in a locker room changing and some guy tells him that they should get to know each other better since their kids are seeing each other? I skip that one.

That’s the one. Wally’s girlfriend, Evelyn, wants her sister to make marriage look desirable when they visit for dinner. ‘Moses’ and Judy aren’t the happiest couple however and Wally thinks marriage is for the birds. I loved Paper Moon not Love Means Never Having to say You’re Sorry Story.

Think it was mentioned before but the couples actual ages were curious.

20- Tom Henderson (Ryan O'Neal)
15- Judy Henderson (Gloria Gilbert)

16- Wally Cleaver (Tony Dow)
21- Evelyn Boothby (Mary Mitchell)

If only Mr. O'Neal's wives and Miss Fawcett had seen how unpleasant he was as a spouse on this show and heeded that warning, their lives would have likely been much better!

Yes! And of course June was worried that Wally would get "ideas."

Excellent point. Not only a bad husband but a really bad father. Of course Joanna Moore his first wife was much older than Ryan and not much of a mother.

Are you saying that Ryan’s wife in this episode was only 15? The girl playing Evelyn was the oldest.

Ryan O'Neal also appeared in Dobie Gillis episode #17 "The Hunger Strike." Also in the episode were Tuesday Weld, and also Margaret Thomas, today better known as Marlo.
