Smile Edna had a slight resemblance to Thelma to me.

To me, Edna and Thelma looked like they could play Sisters. I remember telling my Sister, "Edna kind of looks like a uglier Thelma." My Sister agreed. So, I'm not the only one who noticed a resemblance between Edna and Thelma.

Edna was the girl Thelma tutored, who ended up robbing the Evan's ( I think it was a lottery winning or something) ? Shirley from What's happening guest starred too as her accomplice!

I don't see any resemblance between Thelma and Edna at all !

I think I know who you're talking about. I think she's the girl who played Maude's house guest, Francie Porter or Potter. She was on Maude twice, the one who bamboozled Maude out of money so she could run away with her boyfriend. I think she lied and said her father was an abusive alcoholic. If that's the right girl, she looks nothing like Bernadette Stanis! Also, from what I remember, she's pretty short whereas Bernadette is kinda tall. And in the face, not even close.
