I watched my very first episode of this series today! It was cute and I may think about buying the complete series (71 episodes). I hope this channel keeps airing this show!

I have been DvRing the show on JLTV and also found episodes on Tubi. Only problem is the Tubi Eps are all out of order Maybe JLTV are too but thought I start at the beginning of the show if I could. . I did download a listings and have been writing which episodes I have seen. Interesting to see Mr Loeb, Mr Stone, Mr Harris in the various incarnation of Jake.

Hmm, guess I'm just an old fogie, I've never heard of DVring and I don't get JLTV either. BUT several years ago I did buy the really fine DVD set and it contained a lot of episodes, I think the story was it had all the surviving episodes there are. So if you really want to watch this show I'd advise buying the DVD set, the official release not the cheapie public domain stuff.
I've seen all the DVDs of it now and I used to watch it on Sundays, it seemed like a nice relaxed show, good for a Sunday. Like I like watching Lassie on Sundays too, not just because it was originally a Sunday show but it's also a nice pleasant show for a Sunday. When I was done watching the Goldberg set I started My Favorite Martian (another original Sunday show) now I'm watching Courtship of Eddie's Father on Sundays. Another nice peaceful show. |

I'm a devout Catholic but I still enjoy watching this show on JLTV through Comcast/Xfinity. This show is very ethnic Jewish. But I think it is a pretty realistic view of life for New York Jews back then.
