So unbelievable that Naomi and Reba are mother and daughter. They look more like sisters than anything to me.

Because of their nine year age difference, I agree. Naomi was born in January of 1946. Reba came along in March of 1955.

That might be it because I would think Reba’s mom would be way older

I hated the episode when Reba's mom came to visit and first met Barbara Jean. At first, she spoke the truth and said to Reba: "How can you let this woman in your home, in your life and make a FOOL out of you"? Well, that attitude lasted all of 10 seconds seeing as how the mom eventually befriends Barbara Jean and ends up singing R-E-S-P-E-C-T with her... "REE...REE...REE..." That mom is even more of an idiot than Reba.
