CHCH TV - Thanksgiving Day Lineup - October 11 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Monday October 11 is Thanksgiving Day in Canada and CHCH TV will have special Thanksgiving themed episodes from their great retro schedule from 2 pm until 6 pm with the following shows to be featured:

10 am until 2 pm - Regular programming

2:00 pm The Beverly Hillbillies - Elly's First Date

2:30 My Three Sons - Chip's Harvest

3:00 The Brady Bunch - The Un-Underground Movie

When this episode was first seen last year, CHCH preceded it with one of those stupid anti-discrimination trigger warnings to warn you about any potential offensive material that it may contain --- because we all know how offensive the Bradys can be, right?

Believe it or not, even "My Three Sons" has had this happen to them at least twice, and the first season isn't even over yet. This helps to explain why they chose "Elly's First Date" to represent "The Beverly Hillbillies" instead of the more fitting, and much funnier, "Turkey Day". They make up for this in a big way with the next item.

3:30 The Beverly Hillbillies - The Thanksgiving Spirit

My all-time favorite Thanksgiving sitcom episode of all time, mainly due to the last scene which features the entire casts of all 3 of Paul Henning's great series: "The Beverly Hillbillies", "Green Acres", and "Petticoat Junction".

4:00 Designing Women - Perky's Visit

4:30 Family Ties - No Nukes Is Good Nukes

5:00 Who's The Boss? - Thanksgiving At Mrs. Rossini's

5:30 Happy Days - The First Thanksgiving

The lineup reverts back to normal the next day with highlights including "Make Room For Daddy" starting Season 5, which hasn't been seen in Canada since the early 1970s, and the super classic "I Love Lucy" episode "Lucy Does A TV Commercial".
