I do not understand this episode. In the episode Rosie is dating several non-Jewish men, despite the fact that dating non-Jews is a serious breach of Jewish law. The fact that Jake (!), Molly (!!), and "Uncle" David (!!!) approve is all the more shocking. Didn't the writers of this show do even a shred of research into Jewish law? I found it to be very offensive.

Interesting observation. I haven't seen much more than 10 episodes and am now seeing the show so hopefully will come across the episode where Rosalie dates. Not being Jewish, I don't know much of the customs, but it would more natural in those days to a married in the same faith. But to get to marriage you would have to date first and it would be best to find someone who had similar faith.
