What's the latest news on the Supermarket Sweep revival on ABC? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Has anyone heard any news on whether or not Supermarket Sweep will return for Season 2 on ABC? Because I find it odd that the other ABC game shows got season premiere dates but not Supermarket Sweep. I hope ABC didn't cancel it because if Season 2 debuts I would love to see David Ruprecht guest star on a Supermarket Sweep episode to help Leslie out

I will watch the season premiere of Supermarket Sweep to see if it is worth sticking with. Odds are I drop it though, Leslie Jones will always be an awful host.

Network did not give a air date for season 2.

I hope Supermarket Sweep is much improved and introduces new mini games in Season 2 and I also we see more winners of the Big Sweep this season too

Watched 1st episode and bits and pieces of other episodes.
Not my style of game show host.

I saw last night's episode of The Chase today, found it interesting timeslot replacement Supermarket Sweep didn't get advertised at all. This was with local ads taken out, so nothing was covered up. Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and The Rookie both got one ad. I bet Supermarket Sweep quietly gets cancelled after season 2. ABC made a horrible mistake picking Leslie Jones as host, one of the worst game show hosts ever.

I would try to find the GSN version of this game if you enjoyed the ABC version.
That is the version I prefer.
I may have seen a promo for Supermarket Sweep during Family Feud.
But it is on next Sunday after WOF.
I was watching football and any time the game took a break, was watching ABC then switched back to NBC when break was over.

I actually found the Leslie Jones version of Supermarket Sweep by accident on Youtube and started watching Season 1 and I found it very unappealing like for one thing some of the trivia questions that they use in the game have to do with commercials and I thought I was researching commercials rather than watching a game show. Also Leslie Jones is way too over the top and seems to get way too excited and I don't know why ABC chose her to host the new Supermarket Sweep but after seeing Season 1 I was through with Supermarket Sweep and I very much agree with you Archie. I really do hope this new season doesn't last and gets cancelled quickly because like Jimmy Kimmel's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire revival Supermarket Sweep was a victim of overpromotion and had ABC had the guts to promote the show right Supermarket Sweep would be a huge monster hit

It may be that the higher ups up of the show want her to be amped up and all excited for the contestants . More than likely it lasts the same time as Celebrity WOF roughly 10 weeks. Yes nothing like "product placement" I watch football and cartoons on Fox Sunday night so I will not be watching.
