Why wasn’t Jackie see at the house in the very first episodes

In the first few episodes, we always saw Jackie at Wellman and we never saw her visiting at the house until later on in the season.

It was like The Conners house was in the middle of NOWHERE.

She is in the first scene where she is sitting at the table reading a tabloid magazine, while Roseanne is cutting DJ's hair.
