Most sitcom apartments are too big and in reality, would be too unaffordable (Monica's apartment in Friends comes to mind) for the characters on those shows.
However, one of the more realistic aspects of WBK is Vinnie Barbarino's apartment in season four: It's run down, with a couch that has the stuffing coming out of it and there's no food in the place except for spaghetti and corn flakes. Also, the bed pops out of the wall whenever a train passes by and everyone makes a wisecrack about how bad the place is. Probably one of the few funny things about the otherwise dismal season four. |

Yeah, that apartment was pretty bad, but realistic in what Vinnie would be able to afford ! You are right, a lot of times apartments in TV shows look like they would be too big and expensive for the person to be renting with their income ! ![]() Another really bad rundown apartment was the Kramden's in The Honeymooners ! But I think that was because Ralph was too cheap, seems they could have afforded something better than that! Or to at least spruce it up with better furniture and decor!! ![]()

Watching it now and it was CRUSTY
![]() Actually his apt is almost similar to mine in size. Big room with a kitchen and bathroom. Only difference is I have a walk in closet. But the size of his place was not for men company, only woman

It was actually perfect for Vinnie, for a 2-3 year span until he found something better.

My last apartment was too small for a bed and a sofa so I had to buy a sofa bed lol
What was weird about that apartment was the kitchen and bathroom was so HUGE but the big room that I would be in the most was smaller |
