Default Feeling a Heavy Heart of Sadness

My daughter is getting closer to putting their family dog of 15 yrs to her final resting place. Sweet Tori is advancing in the dementia and hallucinations and daughter finally admitted "no quality of life" and now daughter's life is being too affected. She is a major part of the family but I know she will be in Peace...it's who is left behind who will have a tough time.

I am very sorry about Sweet Tori, my heart goes out to your daughter.
Losing a pet is very, very difficult

I cried my eyes out when I had to put my dog down.

Caroline , I am so sorry about Sweet Tori ! It's very sad when we lose a pet they are a big part of the family esp.having to make the decision to have them put down ! But if the dog is suffering it really is the right decision! So sorry you and your Daughter are going through this! Prayers to all of you !

Sorry about this, I recently lost my pet dog as well. She was having internal issues so I took her to the vet, after examination the vet said that she needed surgery but he wasn't confident that she would survive the surgery so I decided to end her suffering and have her put down. I miss the little dog, she was a good pet and very well behaved in the house. I don't think I want another pet because of the heartache and sadness that occurs when something happens and they pass away.

Yes, pets are innocent and precious, they cross the rainbow bridge and we will be reunited with them one day when we get to heaven !!

Hi Bonnie, yes it was Daisy, it happened in early August about a month ago. She had stopped eating and was refusing her food so I became concerned and took her to the vet and the diagnosis was not good. I'm shocked at how quickly it happened, she was fine the day before and started acting sick the following day. I think she probably had something wrong going on internally for a little while but didn't start showing any symptoms until it was basically too late to fix her. Thanks for your condolences, it is much appreciated.

Caroline, so sorry to hear about your beloved Tori! It's heart-wreching to watch the decline of a pet. My heart goes out to Retro, too, at the loss of beloved Daisy.

Very sorry to hear about Tori. Animals offer so much love and companionship that it's hard to let them go.
