NBC Renews "Mr. Mayor" for 2nd Season
"Mr. Mayor" Renewed at NBC for Season 2
by Peter White March 22, 2021 Ted Danson is getting another season in charge of Los Angeles after NBC renewed freshman comedy "Mr. Mayor". NBC touted the digital and catch-up success of the pilot, which grew to a 3.7 in the 18-49 demo and 16M total viewers, adding that the half-hour show was its best Thursday comedy launch in total Live+7 day viewers since the premiere of the "Will & Grace" revival in 2017. “Having Ted Danson and Holly Hunter leading this brilliant ensemble is a dream,” said Lisa Katz, President of Scripted Content at NBCUniversal Entertainment and Streaming. “A huge thank-you to Tina Fey, Robert Carlock and our talented cast and crew for an incredible first season. We are excited for more hilarity in Season 2.” https://deadline.com/2021/03/mr-mayo...er-1234719211/ |

Glad to hear this, it's a quirky show but very enjoyable. Plus I've always been a fan of Ted Danson.

I watched a few episodes, but did not find it to be very funny. Hopefully season 2 will be better.

it's not funny cuz the Ted Danson character was written for Alec Baldwin. It doesn't translate correctly.
