Ed Asner promotes RIF "Reading Is Fundamental" - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

When you were a child I bet you had RIF come to your school and let you choose a book to take home during your school years. In addition to his role on The Mary Tyler Moore Show Ed Asner became the spokesman for RIF. RIF as we know stands for Reading Is Fundamental and the commercial I found seemed to be the only commercial that Ed Asner did for RIF that's circa the 70's. As a child I do remember getting books from RIF when they would come to my school and the books they had were fun. It's a shame that RIF commercials are not seen anymore today but for Ed Asner fans this is a rare treat
