Kincaid vs. Huxtable

As much as I like Cosby, I didn't really care for either show, but I REALLY didn't like the later one.

I know it's two years later, but I agree... the Cliff Huxtable character was originally a good strong father/role model. The kids knew he'd listen to their problems, and they had a healthy respect for him (sometimes they were even afraid of what would happen "when their father came home"). But everyone walked all over Cliff in the later seasons, which is what eventually made him a terrible role model.

I don't know anything about the Bill Cosby show. I'm starting to check it out on YouTube though. I do love The Cosby Show though, and judging by this thread, I might like the Bill Cosby show too. Man he was looking good in The Bill Cosby Show (the 60s one)

If you want to see the definition of classic Cosby, watch The Bill Cosby Show. Almost every episode is a classic, there are probably about 6 episodes of the 52 that are a little below par, but even those have their funny moments.

I liked both characters and found both to be cool, hip and funny in their own ways on each series. Of course the much younger character of Chet Kincaid was a very cool cat but so was Heathcliff Huxtable for his age.

Since the Bill Cosby show was never in syndication I cant answer. Maybe I will buy the DVD

I agree completely!! Chet was top tier entertainment. While the Huxtable clan (IMO) seemed synthetic. Although Phylliscia Rashad was very hot.

When youtube took the fun out of tape trading I ended up getting rid of everything to make more room in my apt

Your'e not the only one. I couldn't stand her. So smug and arrogant. Nobody in real life is 100% perfect. I also hated Phylissa Rashad. When she applauded Bill Cosby was release from prison, I never want to see anything with her ever again.
