On a bunch of occasions, I have posted messages about how beautiful I thought that the character of Julie looked in boots. I especially liked the way that she looked in the boots that she wore in the second-season episode, "Katie Steals Julie's Jock". Well this episode has been uploaded a bunch of times on You Tube. I used to be able to post messages on these videos, but because of certain complications, I cannot at the moment. In any event, I was over at one of these videos a while back and read the comments that people had posted. Someone posted a message saying, "Julie in her boots is everything"! It is nice to know that somewhere out there, I have a friend who agrees with me on this issue! It will take another paragraph for me to explain something else that recently happened that made me think of "Gimme a Break!" for two reasons.
This past Sunday, the "Brady Bunch" episode "Double Parked" was on METV. To make a long story short, this episode had to do with plans to build a courthouse on the grounds of the last public park that was in walking distance to the Brady's house. Mrs. Brady was determined to do all that she could to keep herself and her family from living in a "concrete jungle"! I would say that Mrs. Brady and the other protesters had about the same amount of spunk in this issue as Samantha and her followers had in the third season episode, "Samantha's Protest". I guess you could say that, even though Samantha did not use the same terminology, she was also protesting having to live in a concrete jungle. On top of this, when Mrs. Brady first went to the meeting of the women's club to organize the protest, she got all dressed up. Her outfit included a pair of black patient leather boots that I thought looked lovely! On top of this, she carried a black patient leather purse that complemented her outfit very nicely. I thought that she looked almost as good in her attire as Julie looked in the outfit that she wore in "Katie Steals Julie's Jock". This is another reason why seeing this episode made me think of "Gimme a Break!". |
