Default The most pathetic TV husband in Television history award has to go to................

RAY RAMONO

Every episode his wife was dominating him, talking to him like a child and belittling him everyday. He was the weakest man I ever seen on a TV set which is why it was hard for me to watch that show. The only thing left for her to do was

walk on top of him
ruin his credit
go on dates with other men

The fact that you knew it would be him is funny because i cant think of any other husband who was treated like that

He was also a hugely pathetic, weakling of a mama's boy. Nothing about him was masculine. I think he was a total turnoff with how he allowed himself to be dominated.

Most people like “Ray” are divorced, toothless, in their forties, jobless, and still “bunking” with mommy dearest.

Yeah, and Ray Romano was so good looking and worked as a sports interviewer or writer or something, a cool job ! Didn't strike me as the type of guy that would put up with a wife who did nothing but bitch at him , and she didn't even work ! He fully supported her and the kids , so he must have made good money too ! And be so afraid of his mom!

Right, both brothers were scared to death of Marie. And Ray's Dad had him pegged.

One time she belted him in the ba!!s, and in another one she turned into Mrs. Hyde during what he called her ladies time.

Well I think Hal from Malcolm in the Middle is a contender for this title.

How about Jack Malloy from Unhappily Ever After? Divorced, moved to an apartment, failed, came crawling back to live in the basement of his old house talking to stuffed animals, with his ex-wife eventually leaving for another woman? Can't spell Loser with a bigger "L" than all that.

I would pick Walter Findlay. Maude dominated him so much it was scary at times. Whenever she said "God will get you for that, Walter", I had the feeling that she wanted to go first. Ralph Kramden only pretended that he wanted to send his spouse to the moon. Maude would have done it!
