That's great. I'll be buying it for sure!

I don't tend to upgrade to blu-ray very often but I'm not all that happy with the quality on the newer released Monkees DVDs and would gladly upgrade.

I just wish they had the 1997 (or '96, I forget) reunion special. I have yet to find that in any format.

I was an early purchaser and still got a high number - LOL. Really great to see more TV shows from the 1960s getting onto Blu-Ray. This, Batman, but a lot more that were filmed remain to be released...

My only nitpick is that the film negs for 'Head' had the same problem that the Criterion BBS release had - Davy is in the bathroom and opens the door and there's a huge eyeball. The Blu-ray edition has a teal masking around the eye. The older DVD has a finished print. I'd still take the remastered negs over the print any day. So many more scenes really pop out wonderfully...

There was an article that discussed the remastering, which negatives were found and what shape they were in, how the solarization and other f/x were done... I'm stunned over how great the movie looks given everything involved. If I find it I'll follow up.
