I often wondered why Elizabeth Banks was chosen to host Press Your Luck for ABC? Because she is so cool and amazing and has a lot of humor to add to the show. After learning she is in The Lego Movie as the voice of Lucy I might give Press Your Luck a third chance just to see Lucy "Wildstyle" host

She's also the show's executive producer with her husband Max Handelman. Banks has been one of four female hosts of current prime time game shows, joining Sara Haines of The Chase, Jane Krakowski of Name That Tune, and Jane Lynch of The Weakest Link. It could be five if Mayim Bialik is named the new permanent host of Jeopardy, though Jeopardy is a lead in to many station's prime time lineup.
