Post All My Children

Hi ever one! My favorite Soap opera is "All My Children" I fell in love with it when I saw "David" searching for "Dixie" at "JR"'s school they were fixing to fight!
Then I got interested in the whole "Laura Loves Leo" situation then I loved the ones where Ilene is trying to kill Alex and Anna and Gabriel.I wish Laura doesn't die she's my favorite character. She's so friendly and nice.

I'm a self-professed soap junkie. I've been watching GH since 95 (along with many others on and off) and started watching AMC when Finola Hughes came on as Anna. My AMC watching will most likely end when Anna returns to GH where she belongs with Robin and Robert. I'm taking a big step this summer by not taping any soaps. I usually have to work when my soaps are on, so I'm just watching them when it works out I'm home. A BIG step from the past two summers.

Teddy: You all set for tomorrow night?
Jinny: I have my bullet proof vest polished if that's what you mean.
Teddy: Come on, Jinny.
Jinny: Oh, yes. Actually... I bought a dress.
Teddy: You did?
Jinny: There is no guarantee, however, that I am going to wear it.
Teddy: So, uh... I don't know. What else did you buy?
Jinny: How do you know I bought you anything for your birthday? Maybe I plan on knitting you a sweater or... give you something much more organic.
Teddy: Well, you do give good organic.

Teddy: What's this dress look like anyway?
Jinny: Oh, yeah, OK. Low cut, skin tight, animal print, ruffle at the bottom. Don't you have lawyering to do?

Teddy: Be honest with me, not my parents!
Jinny: All right, fine. You want honesty? Why don't you let me tell you a little bit about my family? See, I never really had a birthday party unless you wanna count my 15th, when my father showed up for cake, plastered in his underwear! Oh... yeah, by the way, my mom couldn't make it that year either because, well, sadly, six months earlier she blew her brains out!!!!!
Teddy: Jinny, my God.
Jinny: As for my brother, ugh... yeah, John... see, he just doesn't like you unless your American, white, and straight... and for me, a few weeks ago when I had that nut case after me... yeah, I had to make a little list, of all the guys that I've slept with in the last two years. I couldn't remember some of their names.
Teddy: Stop.
Jinny: Ya know what? This is who I am, this is my family!!!! Come on, it's your turn. Go ahead, flash that all-American, prep school, choir boy smile and you tell me that it doesn't matter!

A day with Blair is like walking up San Juan Hill. Every time you turn around she's yelling CHARGE!

If this thread must be regurgitated, can we at least move it to the proper forum.

Do you at least like AMC? I loved this soap. It was my favorite because my great grandmother loved this show and would watch it everyday up until she passed away in 97. She was an Erica fan. What I liked most about AMC was that no matter how many times they would bring in younger characters, they still used the old timers that made the show a hit. Not a lot of soaps did that. I loved watching the older characters go through crazy stories. Janet From Another Planet was a great character who trapped her twin sister in a well so she could marry her man. Palmer's wife, Vanessa, was a psychotic drug lord who ended up killing her son. I liked the story of Erica and Janet working together to save Skye Chandler from the evil doctor who was brainwashing her into believing she was someone else. I also remember the big crossover with OLTL when one of their characters, Rae (I think was her name), found out Myrtle from AMC was her birth mother and that Skye was actually her daughter. AMC was so good from the early 90's up to 2006. I stopped watching when they had Erica's aborted baby turn out alive. That was bleh. Plus Janet was no longer serious fun. She was kidnapping people stealing their shoes. I didn't like seeing cartoon crazy.

I keep hoping with all these streaming channel services like Pluto TV and Plex, that they will add a classic soap opera channel and air reruns of this show. I would love to watch the whole series.
