Goodbye, Farewell & Amen (1983 TV movie)
Hawkeye: "I don't know why I always have to take out the trash." Klinger: ""Colonel, look at that sunset. What a beautiful ending for a beautiful day." P.A> System: "Ladies and gentlemen, five minutes ago at 10:01 this morning, the truce was signed at Panmunjom. The hostilities will end 12 hours from now at 10 o'clock. The war is over!" B.J.: "Don't look at me; I only get three hundred a month." B.J.: "This is not a good place to have a career as an innocent bystander." Hawkeye: "Now, that's what I call a grand total." Potter: (to Klinger)"Listen, when you're in love you're always in trouble. There's only two things you can do about it. You either stop lovin' 'em, or love 'em a whole lot more." Klinger: "Well, that sounds tough." Potter: "It's murder." AFR Broadcaster: "There it is, that's the sound of peace." Igor: "I'm gonna be a pig farmer." Rizzo: "What do you mean, 'gonna be'?" Potter: "You know, that's pretty profound." Mulcahy's final line: "Goodbye, everybody... I'll pray for you." Margaret's final line: "See ya." Charles' final line: "Gentlemen." Potter's final line: "I'd better get out of here." Hawkeye: "Colonel, before you go." B.J.: "We've been thinking about it, and there's a little something we'd love to give you." Hawkeye: "It's not much, but it comes from the heart." (Beej and Hawk stand at attention and salute Colonel Potter. Potter slowly returns the salute, then turns and rides out of camp.) (A helicopter starts up.) Hawkeye: "It sounds like my cab is here." B.J.'s final line: "But just in case, I left you a note!" Hawkeye's final line: "What?" |
