If you have followed female legends in sports you probably read about runner Wilma Rudolph many times as a child in school. Wilma was the child that nobody thought would survive because throughout her life she got illness after illness and still managed to survive it all. But when she caught polio nobody thought Wilma could walk again and through it all she managed to have true grit to be the fastest runner in the world. When I read about Wilma Rudolph she became one of my heroes because of her can do attitude and her true grit to never give up. I am surprised that nobody has thought to make a biography movie about Wilma Rudolph because her whole story deserves to be a movie

Actually, there was a 1977 television movie made about her life story starring Shirley Jo Finney as Wilma Rudolph as well as Cicely Tyson, Denzel Washington, Jason Bernard, Joe Seneca, Larry B Scott & Pauletta Washington.

Her story is one of never giving up. A true role model for anyone going through adversity in their lives.

So there is a movie called Wilma that's about Wilma Rudolph? That's amazing and cool. When I first learned about Wilma Rudolph through Youtube videos she became one of my role models because even though it was a rocky road for her at first Wilma showed she really had true grit to run and let nothing else stop her from doing what she loved
