I voted for Led Zeppelin IV because I'm more into Zeppelin than I am to the Who! ! But both are great old classic rock groups, and two excellent albums!

I'm a Who Nut!

My mom loved The Who, my dad loved The Who. We thought Led Zeppelin was give-or-take. Besides..."Teenage Wasteland"!...

Makes me sad they messed up the first cassette release of this album (Whos next (1971)) -- Its slightly too fast and doesnt sound good..... The 8track sounds goregous!!

Which is wierd because the 8track and cassette are the same CLUB master so they should both be the same!

Cool

Technically, the album called 'Led Zeppelin IV' really had no title. There was nothing to indicated which album it was by Led Zeppelin other than by the information provided on the shrink wrap decal. It was simply a Led Zeppelin album with various symbols to indicate the band's personalities, and many of these symbols were rather cryptic. Led Zeppelin wanted to do things so radically different from other bands and very much succeeded in this. None of their songs were released as singles, particularly from this album which featured their most popular songs including "Stairway To Heaven".

Interestingly, Robert Plant was never a fan of the song.

Actually, it was one of the members of The Who responsible for helping Jimmy Page come up with the name Led Zeppelin. It was either drummer Keith Moon or bassist John Entwistle who was asked to give their opinion of the new group that Page had started. The band was going to call itself The New Yardbirds after the original band broke up (which featured guitarist Jeff Beck). The Who member said in reply after hearing them perform, "It will go down like a lead balloon." This gave Page the idea to make a wordplay on this statement by calling it Led Zeppelin, though he wanted to change the spelling of the first part of the name to Led, so people would not call it "lead" as in, to guide people. "Led", past tense, would make more sense in the name.

Once the band released their first album and played their first shows, they faced a lawsuit by the Zeppelin family in Germany for the unauthorized use of the name that was synonymous with the inflatable airship. Led Zeppelin were known throughout their career for illegal infringements of many things including songs by rock and blues artists.

I voted for Who's Next.

I love The Who, one of my favorite bands. I think Who's Next is one of the great rock albums of all time, but, maybe that is just my bias opinion
