Default Rashomama: who do you believe?

Who's story do you believe as to who hit mama with the pot in the episode "Rashomama"?

Naomi, Ellen, or Eunice

I've always leaned more towards believing Naomi. After all, Naomi did swear on her wedding vows and we all know how crazy in love she was with Vint.

My vote goes to Naomi as well because we all know what a big drama queen Eunice could be and Ellen would be selfish and cold in order to make herself look good no matter what.

I agree, Naomi, but she certainly exaggerated her story, claiming that Mama said she loves her best and is like the daughter she never had. Mama would never say that!

If I had to pick one I would also choose Naomi's version but I think it could be possible they all three did it lol.

I agree, I think Naomi's is more believeable.

There were probably elements of the truth in all three stories, but Naomi's version was most likely closest to what really happened.

Yes, Naomi's tale, like the others, was embellished with the praise Mama showered on her.

Only Mama know what happened for sure- I'm sure she got her memory back at some point.

I take Ellen’s side. Yeah, Naomi did swear on her wedding vows, but how many times did you see Thelma so loving and caring and sweet towards Naomi? I suspect Eunice was exaggerating as well, everyone knows the two of them NEVER got along. And then you have Ellen, who everyone knows is Mama’s favorite. Like Eunice says, Mama bends backwards for Ellen, her “precious baby” could do no wrong, even despite the fact that Ellen almost never visits, and when she does, it’s to ease her guilty conscience or it’s because she wants something. To me, Ellen’s side of the story is the most believable.

I would believe Naomi's more than the any.... of course they ALL exaggerated to make themselves look like the hero.... But I'd say Naomi's was the closest to what really happened.

When I first saw this episode, I came into it when it was already into Naomi's story... and honestly I didn't know it was a recant of a story... I just thought it was a normal episode... I just wondered why Mama was being so nice to Naomi.... but everything else seemed normal.

Had I came in on Ellen's or Eunice's story I would have known something was up lol

In Ellen's story she had Naomi acting totally like twit... that was out of character. And even though Mama might like Ellen best... Mama and Ellen never actually got along that well. Mama criticized Ellen all the time as well, and Ellen was a snob to Mama. Plus Ellen had Mama's mind being bad.

I don’t know about Naomi. Ellen did make her out to be a nitwit, but we’ve NEVER seen Mama that way towards Naomi. Ellen’s story with dumb Naomi is way more believable than Naomi’s story.

Naomi's version of Ellen and Eunice were spot-on, while Ellen's and Eunice's versions of each other, as well as Naomi (and Mama, mostly in Ellen's case) were exaggerated- hence, why Naomi's version, even with Naomi exaggerating her interaction with Mama, is the most believable of the three.

Incidentally, this episode is one of Vicki's favorites- and mine.

I agree ! Like I said when I first saw this episode I got into it when Naomi's story was already underway and I didn't even realize it was a story or that anything was off, I thought it was just a normal episode, I just wondered why Mama was being so nice toward Naomi lol
