Default Decades Schedule Change

It might start tomorrow or already have been in place a week. It is only one change, but I don't like it. Petticoat Junction is losing its nice noon hour between Family Affair and I Love Lucy. Petticoat Junction will now air in the 10AM hour, with The Donna Reed Show replacing it in the noon hour. Those are the only changes for weekdays, everything else remains the same. Does Decades only have the rights to a few seasons of Petticoat Junction? I thought it was strange they went back to season 2 when they had just aired it recently. And they would have still been in the Bea Benaderet episodes, so it wasn't avoiding after Kate died. No wonder ratings dropped if they wouldn't continue past a certain point. What I have seen of Donna Reed hasn't impressed me, I have caught the tail end a few times waiting for Family Affair. And I saw a Donna Reed episode awhile back on my dad's sampler collection of Christmas episodes. It is not terrible by any means, but not nearly on the level of other 60s classics either. The Lucy Show would have been a better choice to put at noon so Lucille Ball had two straight hours like Mary Tyler Moore gets. Also concerning is Newhart and Family Affair not getting advertised at all during the Greatest American Hero marathon I am watching. The only other show on their sitcoms thru the decades block not getting advertised is just downgraded Petticoat Junction. The Bob Newhart Show is advertised, but just as part of their smart coms late night block not the afternoon hour. 80s Newhart would be nice to get a full hour at 4PM, but if they aren't even advertising it now that could be a bad sign. And The Dick Van Dyke Show is great, but with only 5 seasons 2 hours a day might be too much. Lou Grant would be my first choice at 3PM to air after its parent show. But if they don't have the rights to that, put The Beverly Hillbillies on the weekday schedule. Also interesting: Through the Decades hasn't been advertised at all during the marathon parts I have seen despite airing in primetime.

The first two seasons of Petticoat Junction are in public domain (same for Beverly Hillbillies) so they may get more play for that reason (just guessing). Also noticed it is running on Circle.

The Donna Reed Show is one of my favorites and vastly underrated IMHO. Great cast, scripts, heart, humor - so I'll take it wherever I can get it - would like to see it paired with Beaver on Me (maybe with cartoons bumped back an hour)

Beverly Hillbillies and My Three Sons would seem to be a good fit for Decades. The Lucy Show needs a rest.

Of course it doesn't matter at all for me what Decades airs if I keep getting the cursed major buffering during live stream! I have gotten to see three more episodes today, but the 1PM episode that was looking really good with Ralph's IRS problems is a lost cause now.

I know Decades had aired season 3 episodes, so public domain isn't all they have.

Decades has played the full series no doubt. But some episodes may be cheaper to run than others.

Decades airs all seven seasons of Petticoat Junction. I wish they'd add The Beverly Hillbillies to their lineup because Me-TV only airs it very early Saturday mornings. Also looking forward to Donna Reed in the Noon hour.
