It's A Summer Time Thang

Well, I'm watching Gidget once a week again. I love this show but I only watch it during the sum sum summer time. It's a summer time tradition for me. Around the middle of September it's time to keep my place in the Gidget episodes and pick up where I left off next summer. (I'm watching the DVDs of the show and they're all in episode guide order, that's how I watch them.) So when Summer's over I make a note on the last episode seen and wait till late May to pick it up again. This summer I started from the beginning again.

I also like watching the houses and the street on the Columbia set and spotting the Bewitched house next to the Hazel house where Gidget is living now. I guess the Baxters moved out and Gidget moved right in. Tho '65 would have been the year Harold lived with Hazel and Steve Baxters, so the George Baxters no longer lived in the Hazel house, guess he must have sold it right away to Gidget's father when he went to Saudi Arabia and abandoned Harold. I wonder if Hazel and Harold ever dropped in and visit Gidget to take a look at the old place. First thing they would have noticed is how they changed the interior. Hazel probably would have ordered them to change it back. I did like the Hazel interior better though.

Well Gidget is set in sunny CA with surfing galore—so having this as a summer tradition makes a lot of sense to me.
