NBC has ordered a pilot for the Night Court sequel with Melissa Rauch playing Harry Stone's daughter. What a horrible casting choice! I might have tried it with someone else. But Melissa was so irritating on The Big Bang Theory, no way am I watching a show with her as the main star.

NBC sure is taking forever to announce their fall schedule. Hopefully they are working out a good deal to get seasons 4 and 5 of Manifest. I would like to think they are behind it for that long, all the dumb Law and Order crossovers that have artificially inflated them have made its recent ratings look worse but surely Manifest will at least get a final season. I hate New Amsterdam, Manifest from the same premiere fall started out so much stronger but lousy medical dramas are all the rage now and NA got an undeserved three season renewal.

Never mind, I guess NBC schedule came out three hours ago. Several sites didn't have anything, Hollywood Reporter did though.

It was released 2:15pm ET/11:15am PT. So Hollywood Reporter didn't release early.

I thought this casting choice was strange, also, considering that Melissa Rauch is supposed to be a producer. Couldn't a different actress for the Abby Stone role have been found instead? BTW, Melissa Rauch and her voice being altered for the Bernadette character was THE reason I got into The Big Bang Theory in the first place, and I had absolutely no interest in the Young Sheldon spinoff, either, because I never liked the Sheldon Cooper character all that much, anyway.

Iain Armitage's portrayal of Sheldon comes off as more likable despite his snobbish traits. So those who don't like Jim Parsons could still like Iain maybe.

Debris is cancelled, no surprise there as it was one of the most boring shows I have ever seen. Now bring on that Manifest renewal! Hopefully the Red Nose episode of The Wall tanks tonight with an 0.2 or even better 0.1. That would make Manifest look really good by comparison. Even leaving that aside, Manifest is still a lot stronger than the Sunday disasters and a lot better creatively than Zoey's Playlist (I never had any desire to watch Good Girls).
