This message is directed mainly at people who are on a plan that includes a network called METV. In my opinion, this channel has syndicated episodes of a lot of good shows. I wonder if they will ever attempt to show repeats of "Gimme a Break!". For a long time, she would show episodes of the "Flintstones" at six o'clock weeknights. The "Flintstones" is a show that I grew up with and am still very fond of. In any event, a few weeks ago, they starting showing episodes of "The Addams Family" in this timeslot. It will take another paragraph for me to explain what any of this has to do with "Gimme a Break!".

Those of you who have been around this page for a while know how fond I am of the late Hazel Shermet. The two shows that I associate her most with making guest appearances are this show and the "Facts of Life". That is because most of the movies and series that she has appeared in were made before I was even born much less old enough to watch TV. Well, two nights ago, I watched an episode of the "Addams Family" in which the lady of the house tried to fix her cousin up with a man who she thought would make good husband material. The cousin was played by Hazel Shermet! Because this was an old show made on black and white film, I was unable to appreciate her appearance the way I can on more modern programs. But, at least, seeing her in a different role gave me something to try and stimulate some conversation about!
