Default GT Fans that brought up good points? :)

"No one bothered to ask Penny just WHY she seemed scared to go home."(The Evans Get Involved, part one)

Miss Gordon didn't even bother to check Florida's room for Penny after JJ showed her Thelma's room and the bathroom." The Evans Get Involved Part 2 I think)

Wouldn't the fact that Vanessa came to visit JJ in the Projects be a clue that he doesn't have that much money?" JJ and The Plumber's Helper.

"JJ and The Bank Manager were both at fault. The Bank Manager never made it clear that he wanted something more professional and never checked on JJ's Mural to give his opinions on it while JJ was painting it. JJ should have known that a Bar with people playing pool and jiving was inappropriate for a BANK. Maybe people sitting on a park bench looking at the sun or people lining up at a bank to get money would have been more appropriate. That being said, the Manager owed JJ that money since he promised to pay JJ for the Mural. The Mural.

"Florida was trying to write,"Call the Police, help me, I'm being threatened for my $2500 at Gunpoint," on the withdrawal slip at the bank," when Roz pointed out she was writing LETTERS and not NUMBERS and forced her to do it again, with only Numbers. Rich Is Better Than Poor, Maybe. I personally thought Florida was writing the numbers out such as twenty five hundred and zero cents like a normal withdrawal request until the GT Fans pointed it out...

JJ seemed funnier in the later Seasons rather than Say Seasons 1, 2 and three. Seasons 1, 2, and 3 JJ seemed to have not known the difference between being funny ALL the time and being and being funny only sometimes. The episode where Keith slapped Thelma is a prime example of this. Seasons 1,2, and 3 JJ would have playfully "Put up his dukes," whereas Season 6 JJ knew better and just gave a clearly disgusted reaction to Keith. JJ really had grown up at this point."

Florida clearly looked about 20 years older than Willona. No way were they the same age! Who were the GT Staff trying to fool?

Thelma looked much more like Willona's Daughter than she did Florida's Daughter. Maybe James cheated on Florida with Willona and Florida being a Devout Christian Woman decided to not divorce James AND decided to raise Thelma as her own? Side note. Karen immediately assumed that Willona was Thelma's Mother in Thelma Moves Out....

They wanted us to buy that James would've hooked up with Florida period. Nope. I never bought that mess.

Also, Wilona was a single woman that worked. I think she would've been able to have a one-bedroom apartment outside of the projects. She wore all these nice clothes. Why couldn't she get a regular apartment?

A GT Fan brought up this good point. "Penny was needed because in the 5th Season, Willona was technically the only "Adult" left and it was just her and JJ, Thelma, and Michael left of the Original Cast after Florida's Departure to be with Carl and James's death. Willona needed to become a Mother because if not, it would have been Willona cracking inappropriate jokes to people young enough to be her Children which would have put the Audience off. A Mother was the right storyline for Willona."

A GT Fan said something like,"JJ was a joke for the first four GT Seasons and now we're supposed to buy that JJ has the Authority to ground Michael? Please, come on!" In the Season 5 episode where JJ grounds Michael for ending up in a Police Station or something like that.....

Willona bought her nice clothes at a discount from the Boutique she worked at. But about Willona being able to live in the Projects, GT Fans pointed out that realistically, Willona shouldn't have been able to live in the Projects since she was SINGLE and Childless and Projects were generally for FAMILIES.... Only when she adopted Penny is when she actually had Rights to live in the Projects....

That's exactly what I'm saying. She didn't qualify for the apartment. Heck, my mother would say that Wilona would've been able to at least get a roommate and handle a regular apartment.

The show was very unrealistic

Family situated like evans would have been eligible for welfare

And Willona would not have been eligible for an apartment in the projects as a single since the projects was created for low income families

Bingo! She didn't want James to go to Alaska because Michael needed a father. But, she split to Arizona with a man she hasn't known for long and left her children (albeit older) in the projects.

Continuity is so important. How does a writer forget that point?

The lame excuse of Wilona chaperoning J.J., Michael, and Thelma was ridiculous

I am not familiar with the law, but does not being single apply to senior citizens. There seem to be alot of single senior citizens living in the project such as Wanda and that lady with the famous meatloaf

Probably more leniency with them because of social security and age. Wilona's young, she's more likely to have an active chance at part-time/full-time work.
